Bars + Tone reflection
November 30, 2009
During my visit to bars and tone I saw that outside the windows of bars + tone had a great view of the city, we introduced ourself to 2 interns and 1 worker. She showed us what bars and tone do on the daily basis’s and the different jobs that they have in the company, also the video that they made for their company. We met the 3 owners of the company, the founder, executive producer, and director, we interviewed them with questions that we prepared for them before the visit to bars and tone. While we were there we ate pizza, after wards we took a tour around the 10th floor where they work and edit videos that they captured. I learned that it takes time to get where you want to be at and to be confident on what you do the best never quit, be passionate. It’s not essay starting your own company by yourself, you can’t do everything yourself and that you’ll always need someone’s help. Overall the people of bars and tone were comforting made us feel like we’re part of their company, they made sure we weren’t strangers to them. Bars + tone was a great experience for me i’ve learned a lot from the people that works there, you have to be devoted to the project your working on, no time to mess around and that you have to put in time and creativity on what your doing. I’m not sure what I would want to be at in the future I’m still undecided, there’s a part of me wanting to be a doctor or becoming a photographer, I’m not so sure yet. The things I learn might get me to an intern but not a full time job, probably not until I graduate.
